I’m originally from Yarmouth, N.S. and although a tad shy when you first meet me, I can end up being pretty crazy at times. I'm the middle child in a family of five so always had at least one older and one younger friend growing up! I love any type of adventure, travelling, Sex and the City...and chippies;) I'm an Air Movements Officer (Air Force) in Trenton, Ontario right now and I love redecorating and fixing up our home in Belleville:)
Patrick Bourassa-Goodyear spent his early years out West – namely Calgary and eventually made his way to N.S. after passing through PEI. Living in Greenwood, N.S. for the past 14 years, the Annapolis Valley is his home. After graduating, Pat took the reigns of seismic drilling across all acres of Alberta and is one of the hardest workers you’ll meet! He’s been out West off and on for the better part of 2 ½ years and when he’s home he loves hunting the bunnies and geese!
Wow! I suddenly saw Patrick in a different light and was very happy when he came home for 2-3 months from working out West. The three of us spent a lot of time together playing sports and board games and going on hikes and although nothing was apparent on the surface, I was keeping one eye on Pat
Haha! I know I know..well, you all know it's hard enough to find availability of "Baby(Insert last name)" on websites these days so we had to be creative! And when thinking of something that describes us both, PB&J made the cut!
I grew up as a middle child and like sooo many middle children, I had middle-child syndrome where I felt I was never old enough to do something but yet not young enough to get away with others! lol I was convinced that there a conspiracy against me and my middle children across the world! (lol) My parents were so very helpful during these times when I felt left out and they reminded me that just like a sandwich wouldn’t be the same without the Peanut Butter in the middle, our family would not be the “Hansen’s” without all three essential kids (especially that great middle one! Haha..) So from then on, the nickname of Peanut Butter “stuck” (lol), especially on those days when I need a boost.
On the other hand, there is also an obvious reason in that Pat has also been called Peanut Butter during his life due to his initials of “PB”. Since there was a shared meaning in our lives as to the term and because we mutually feel that just as a peanut butter and jam is still one of the best matches in sandwiches, we are each others best match for each other in all this world! We started to call ourselves PB&J in light of it and it has been one of those things that always brings a smile to our face when we think about it.
So, again, in order to keep with being silly and all that…and of course the fact that we both have different last names and picking one THIS early would be too complicated (lol), we thought “Baby PBnJ” was the most suiting! J and now you don’t think we’re naming our kid after a sandwich! haha
